Hello, I'm Akey. I’ve been in the barbering industry for over 10 years, and in 2018, I opened 5th Avenue Barbershop to bring Cochrane an old-school barbershop with a modern twist. I wanted to create a place where clients get more than just a haircut—a place where they feel at home and leave looking and feeling their best. Seeing how we’ve grown and become a part of this amazing community has been incredibly rewarding.
While I love the classic barbershop vibe of the ‘50s & ‘60s, I also believe in keeping things fresh and modern. I’ve trained in advanced cutting techniques with Toni & Guy, Sassoon educators, and some of the best barbers in the industry, and I encourage my team to keep learning and perfecting their craft.
At 5th Avenue Barbershop, my goal is simple: to keep growing, keep evolving, and keep giving our clients top-tier service in a barbershop they can trust.
